Centre for Ecological and Community Development (CECD)
December 12, 2024
The Centre for Ecological and Community Development is developing a Women’s Cancer Control Project that aims to help spread awareness on the threats, including the diseases one can get from using conventional sanitary napkins, especially cervical cancer. We are also partnering with different medical institutions and non-government organizations with health advocacies to advance the welfare of women in our society.

For example, The Nigeria Women Cancer Control Association (WCCA) is offering a comprehensive approach to cervical cancer prevention and control that includes components of community education and social mobilization, education about safe sexual practices, and the promotion and provision of safe-to-use pads.
