People's Health Movement (PHM) Tanzania
To further engage and follow up on the UHC Advocacy letter, on the UHC Day 2024, PHM Tanzania plan to:
1. Request a Meeting with Decision-Makers: We will reach out to the Ministry of Health in Tanzania to schedule a meeting where we can discuss the letter’s recommendations on improving mental health care as part of UHC.
2. Leverage Social Media for Public Engagement: We will use social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), to publicly share the letter and tag relevant government officials, encouraging them to prioritize mental health in UHC policies.
3. Engage with Key Stakeholders: We will coordinate with other civil society organizations and mental health advocates in Tanzania to build collective support around the letter and its objectives, amplifying the message.
4. Follow-Up Through Multiple Channels: We will follow up with decision-makers via email, phone calls, and through their staff, to ensure that the letter receives attention and the recommended actions are considered.
