Universal Health Coverage (UHC) lifts people out of poverty, promotes the well-being of families and communities, protects against public health crises, and moves us toward Health for All.
Immunization is a critical component of primary health care (PHC) and offers a clear entry point for multisectoral efforts to strengthen PHC and UHC.
During this Special Event, the Immunization Agenda 2030 (IA2030) Working Group on Strategic Priority 1 (SP1, Immunization Programmes for Primary Health Care and Universal Health Coverage) launched the Immunization for PHC: Framework for Action that provides examples of good practices from a range of countries and practical actions that immunization and PHC professionals at all levels of the health system can take.
This Special Event builds on consultative engagement since December 2021. It was first broadcast on 12 December 2022.
