By improving food safety standards and training the next generation of professionals, we can address health risks at their source and create lasting protection for communities across Rwanda.
Casimir is a strong advocate for health-focused food systems in Rwanda. As Production Manager at Rugari Meat Processing Ltd., he ensures safe and hygienic meat production to prevent foodborne illnesses and reduce healthcare costs, especially for low-income families. Beyond this role, he contributes to national efforts by shaping food safety policies through RENOFARM and the Rwanda Standards Board.
At the Rwanda TVET Board, he develops curricula that equip future professionals with skills to reduce health risks, improve workplace safety, and build health literacy. His work supports universal health coverage by addressing the root causes of health-related financial vulnerability through prevention, education, and improved health standards.
