We must call for urgent action to build gender responsive health systems that truly leave no one behind - ensuring Universal Health Coverage that protects people financially and guarantees full access to comprehensive SRHR services for everyone, everywhere.
David is a medical doctor and global health advocate dedicated to advancing universal health coverage (UHC) through equitable health financing and inclusive policy-making. Within the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations, David has coordinated international delegations to the United Nations, promoting the integration of SRHR within UHC frameworks. His work focuses on strengthening financial protection to ensure that no one is denied essential health services due to economic or social barriers.
Through policy development, capacity building, and youth-led advocacy initiatives, David has empowered young health professionals to actively contribute to sustainable, people-centered health systems. He combines clinical experience with advocacy, emphasizing health equity and financial protection as core pillars of UHC. David envisions a world where access to quality healthcare is guaranteed for all, regardless of income, background, or identity.
