Universal health coverage can only become a reality when people’s voices shape the policies that affect them.
Advancing equity, transparency, and financial protection is fundamental to ensuring no one is left behind.
Rosemary works to advance financial protection through strategic advocacy and high-level policy engagement. She is the civil society representative for Eastern and Southern Africa at the Civil Society Policy Forum Working Group of the World Bank.
She is also part of the newly launched Health Works Leaders Coalition, which brings health and finance leadership together to support country-led reforms.
As Executive Director of WACI Health, she convenes and elevates civil society and community voices in regional and global fora. One of these iniatives – the Joint Learning Agenda (JLA) – contributes to strengthened civil society participation in budget monitoring and accountability. She has been a consistent champion for a people-centered approach to health financing that prioritizes equity, transparency, and financial protection for all, leaving no one behind.
