Health is a right, not a privilege. Universal health coverage must embrace every person, without exception—and that means ensuring LGBTI+ people can access services without discrimination. When we integrate sexual and gender diversity into health policy, our systems become not only more inclusive, but truly universal.
Eteban Paulón has had a longstanding commitment to equity, health, and human rights. Throughout his career, he has led and advocated for inclusive health policies that ensure access for all people, without discrimination. As a legislator, activist, and public official, he has advanced initiatives to reduce inequalities and strengthen the public response in sexual and reproductive health.
His leadership has been key in integrating sexual and gender diversity perspectives into Argentina’s health policies, ensuring that UHC reflects the needs of LGBTI+ populations. By combining political vision, ethical commitment, and collaboration across civil society and government, Esteban embodies the spirit of a UHC Champion—working tirelessly to build a fairer, more inclusive, and truly universal health system.
